Hi all,Just

wanting a bit of help about completing a landlords cert. Now on my check list it says to ensure gas pressure or heat input rate or, where necessary both are correct.

Thats fair enough but what if you have no MI's and no rates or pressures to check against? Would it be a case of flame pictures and if poss an FGA reading or are there other things that should be checked when unable to check operating pressures/HI against MI's?

Appreciate help.

data badge will give you basic info on HI and gas pressure if applicable, however depending in the type of appliance the MI's have vital safety check info

he knows 🙂 he was asking what to do when their is no data badge, no way of knowing its kw or burner pressure as its obviously a faff on calling the manufacturer or in regards to hobs, pulling out the dirty oven.. as he may have seen BG service a boiler before

Then you cannot confirm the appliance is operating safely within the manufacturers limits. You cannot complete your safety check.

Why would the data badge not be on the boiler?

But I would agree with GrahamM if these figures can not be checked against the advised readings then you cannot confirm safe operation neither can you confirm unsafe operation so if it where me then I would at risk the boiler until the data could be found then once I had correct data I would return and sign off - at an extra charge of course 🙂

I have came across maybe two or three boilers this year that had no badge that I could find, but was able to get MI's through make and model on the boiler. Had the issue with a few fires as well.
