It's a long way from that have you ever seen a these company's the kit they need is great and very expensive

Dont you still have to expose the pipe, lift carpets and flooring etc so the sniffer can find the leak? May aswell use then LDF as said above.

And no the proper leak detection company's can detect a leak using equipment with out ripping everything up first that's the point of it

If you are looking for water leaks why didnt you say.

you can detect water with two sticks crossed over one another?

the expensive equipment that you can get to detect such hidden leaks is out of the reach of your average plumber and i would recommend a specialist firm if needed to a customer.... unless you had enough business to justify the cost of course.
