just broken another head torch can anybody recommend a decent head torich and a decent hand torch that doesn't die when you replace the batteries

I've got a beta rechargeable inspection lamp £38 off Amazon beats a head torch great for working on boilers I leave it on charge in the van all the time

Olight S20 or S30 they have a strong magnetic base so you can stick it anywhere even on a screw head.

It has several intensity settings and I use the middle one which is equivalent to a normal torch rather than a head mounted sun. I can get about 18-20 hours out of a fully charged 3100mah 18650 battery. I put two batteries on charge at a time I have 4. 1 in the head torch 1 in the hand torch and 2 charged in a little battery box in my pocket. I wear the head torch on my cap all day. I am never without enough light to see what im doing. Never have to run lights up to a loft or hunt for a light switch. Great when your working in a boiler in an airing cupboard as you dont have to work in your own shadow.
Regularly get people asking if I have been mining or caving, I shrug the jokes off as it works for me.

Personally I want something small, light, cheap but durable as it lives in bottom of my tool bag.
I purchased 3 of these. Great torches & 9 times out of 10 will do the job. If needing much more or extended light the bigger lights come out the van.
Been using one constantly for a year on second set of batteries. Have one in van and other still in packaging.
I purchased the less popular colours as was cheaper again.
