Hi, After some help or advice if possible,

I have a glowworm combi boiler and have been suffering a loss in water pressure.

I've had this problem for the last couple of years, the boiler keeps dropping pressue and I have to re-presurise often. It happens at least once a month but sometimes 2-3 times a week at least. At the moment it's happening almost every other day. It happens less if the heating is left on for a while but if the heating has been on and I switch it off it always looses pressue, within about 4-5 mins.

I know people say it must be a leak but can it be anything else, it' not coming out of the overflow at all. I know the overflow is working as it somtimes comes out of here if i've re-pressureised the boiler a little too much. I live upstairs with plasterboard celinlings so would have though if it was a leak this much for this long I would have noticed by now.

I know I should not have let it go on this long and know I should really get a plumber to look at it but have very low funds at the moment and want to assess what it can be before I can afford to get someone out.

If anyone can help or if people need additional info please get back to me.

Many Thanks

Mark

Many thanks, would that account for the loss of pressure them? What does that do, if thats faulty would I not notice any water?

Is that an expensive job?

If a fault with expansion vessel, after refilling to 1.5 bar with heating on gauge will go up as system heats, and when over 3bar PRV blows of to outside and you loose all pressure.

but you may just have leak.
