Customer has lost a silver bracelet inside her machine. Im trying to work out how they drain and how far it could go.

Is it possible to get right the way through or would filters stop it? I`ll check the rubber lip in case its lodged under it, but if its got past the drum, could it be sitting in the external u bend?

I`ll try and get make and model later and give the makers a ring but thought id tap the wealth of knowledge on here first.

🙂

usually a filter to protect the pump so its likely to be in there

normally a case of pulling the washing machine put

accessing the rear of it via a few screws etc then locate the pump and the filter is usually before this so a few more screws. make sure its unplugged and water off as well

Thanks Tom, suspected as much but feel better now youve confirmed.

please make sure you disconnect it from the power before you go messing about inside, a few folk seem to get plated working on washers, once inside there are various places the bracelet could be, start at the outlet of the drum, then pump, then pipework to filter, then filter itself, it is unlikely to get out of the machine into the waste system

Mine wouldn't drain properly yesterday, mrs had been complaining for a few days. I couldn't get the twisty thing out of the bottom, so leant it backwards, pulled off the big black hose, £2.53, some screws, some pin nails and some empty wall plug strips later it was unblocked, bish bash bosh pipe back on mrs happy, "it's what I do best honey" i say as I went back to putting my feet up.

20mins later kitchen floor getting a good soaking, "2 inches should be enough love, i'll give my hoover a run out and put the pipe back on now - oops"

There seemed to be a large part of the pipe with a ball sort of thing in it, that's where all the rest of my money'll be
