Loud noise from Ideal logic 30 combi boiler

Hi there wondered if anyone could help, 2 days ago I had this boiler installed...it's really loud, it sounds like an aeroplane cruising at 37000 ft... Wakes me up all night when it fires up, everyone has commented how loud it is...is this normal for this boiler or is there something wrong, I've never experienced anything like it before...please help. Thanks

Is it on a plasterboard wall? Had alot of call backs when i was a apprentice on warm front scheme on ideals

Hi koogatubac , no it's on an outside wall no plaster board.
Had engineer back, he said it the pipes, I'm hoping that's what it is, because its so loud it will have to go, 🙂

Recons its water hammer? You should be able to tell if its coming from the pipes or the boiler? Did it happen before it got fitted? Are the pipes clipped?

The logic is a very quiet boiler, hope your installer sorts it
