Low water pressure - any thoughts?

Hi Friends

Woke up today to low water pressure in my house.

It's a direct fed system with a combi.

Cold is @7lt per min now.

It happened last Oct but righted itself and now gone again.

Nothing changed, checked Thames Water, no works or leaks etc.

Any thoughts?

Is it just you or have you checked with the neighbors to see is they have had a drop as well, if so it is likely to be TW turning down the pressure if not check your supply pressure & any filters, stop valves anything where muck could get stuck.

Thanks, neighbours not it yet but will check. stopcock turned in & off but no change, both other filters etc. it just comes into house and to kitchen & bathroom. Very strange.

Yes, tested it again, I'm getting 5ltr per min. It's strange that it happened last October then all OK and now low again.

I've only got kitchen tap and bathroom. Direct feed. Low pressure in both rooms.

sounds like a stopcock problem,maybe the washer has come loose

Yeah need to check your neighbours. I have had two calls to water issues recently, one I was in the job 5 mins and water was coming out of the tap sporadically, so sometimes nothing. Went out to the van and saw a thames water guy, they had turned the street off and not told anyone. Very helpful. The other was in a block of flats and a few knocks on the doors and the three people that answered all had the same problems so obviously a problem in the road somewhere.

Thanks, I did call Thames Water, no work or leaks reported in the area. I'll knock on neighbours door now.

One neighbours house is ok. No one in the other side to check.

I'll change the stopcock tomorrow.

Didn't chant the stopcock today. Had Thames Water out, they're going to dig out and change the water meter and then test the pressure at the road. If that's ok there and the new meter doesn't change the pressure then I'll change the stopcock. The chap who attended just scratched his head!

Scratching head doesn't help me!!

I'll report back again soonest.

Flow rate good ?? Pressure (static) as it was !! All's well that ends well.

All good, toilet fill valve whining under the pressure. I've closed stopcock a bit. All good.
