Lads.....can you get an lpg conversion kit for a logic + 24??? Can only see one for the 30 on their website!!! If so would you know the part number??

just adding more to the story....an oap on my moms park home estate had the above boiler installed in her home over a week ago and the fitter said he'd be back to fit the lpg conversion kit the next day but never turned up!! she's been trying to get hold of him since without any joy!!!
I'm gonna phone ideal tomorrow to see if the kit is available(which i dont think it is).....if this kit is not available and as she'll be left with a non compatible boiler which she has already paid for....can i report this idiot to gas safe to get something done about it??

Thats interesting, our rep said they dont do LPG boilers or conversion kits for the Logic +'s,

Keep us informed!!

Yeah i will....thanks mate. Do you think a phone call to gas safe will lead to anything being done??? I think i'm gonna get the number of the guy who fitted first to give him a chance to either give her her money back or exchange it for a lpg compatible boiler before i call gs. I can see a few interesting phone coming my way tomorrow!!!

Yes you can report him
That's crazy leaving a NG boiler connected to LPG don't fire it up

Good job mate
But seriously that bloke needs reporting ridor and ring gassafe see if the will send out an inspector to look at it

If you look at [DLMURL="http://www.idealheating.com/products/logic-combi-plus.php"]Logic+ Boiler - Combination Boilers - Ideal Heating[/DLMURL] it has a line on the spec that states that it is not adjustable to LPG. Definitely a RIDDOR

i found this though mike [DLMURL="http://www.idealheating.com/products/lpg-conversion-kits.php"]LPG Conversion Kits - Logic & Logic+ 30kW boilers Ideal Heating[/DLMURL] which was making me think they do a conversion kit for the 30+ but not the 24+....but why would they only do it for the 30+??? thats what's got me!!!......oh well all will be revealed when i call them tomorrow.

That's a new one on me but as it states it's only for the 30 fitting a 24 on LPG is still subject to RIDDOR. Seems a bit odd to me that they've released one for the 30 first as I can envisage much more call for 24s in park homes etc.

I agree mike.....anyhoo....i spoke to ideal and they confirmed they only do a conversion kit for the 30....and i also spoke to the the fella who fitted it and he said he was told there was a conversion kit available by someone in a plumbcentre somewhere (wether thats true or not i dont know)....i told him i would riddor him if he don't get it sorted and he agreed to go and exchange the boiler for a compatable one.....sounded like a genuine lad to be fair...we all make mistakes and i think this has put the shi***rs up him a bit.

I think he knows if he don't sort it i will get the book thrown at him.
