Flow or return, although I think it is better in the return close to the heatsource. Look at the manufacturers instructions

if on flow make sure the vent and cold feed cant be isolated with the valves that come with the filter as this will be dangerous

Best on return as then its helping protect the boiler.

When it arrives on Wednesday, I'll read the instructions. I only wish that I'd thought about that earlier. I was asking for advice, not sarcastic replies!

Should be on the return of the heating circuit. That's what the instructions tell you. However the last one I fitted due to the pipes being buried in the floor this was impossible so it was fitted in the flow just after the zone valve.

Return definetly as the magni clean is there to protect the boiler
from iron oxide (sludge)
