anybody else think the main range is bloody excellent value for money.

im so impressed with them im going to install a main system eco and unvented cylinder in the in-laws.

i think the eco combi is brilliant value for money, reliable, easy to work on! what more do we actually want out of a combi.??

good back up aswell, 3 year warranty would be brilliant!

Agree great boilers

Have put quite a few in and never had a problem

Would put one in my house no problem

glad its not just me! they are heavy though lol 🙂 and the warranty sticker could litterally be anywere in the box sometimes lol

agree with whats been said, but have you thought about weather compensation/room temp modulation. not sure if this boiler has this type of control capabilities.
these type of controls will help save inlaws money. and can be added later.
just a thought 🙂

not sure if they can have them either, but baaahh the inlaws are saving enough having me supply and fit it! 😉

Going against the flow here, aren't mains just cheap basis with less warranty. They come with free faulty fans pcb error codes that don't exist. Cue the abuse!

good boilers dont break down as much as the new baxi duotec 2

cant fault them for there money fitted around 15 no problems as of yet.

How long have they been in? Not as bad as some of the cheap tat out there admittedly but not great either.

fitted around 3o ish over 3 years and not a single problem as of yet that i no about! no fault code issues or fan, had one with a faulty integral timer from new but had a spare on me van,

have almost done the full ch install last week and I have my first main combi25he to go in next week ! will post to give you my opinion on it !

installed 25he today !
negative
-too heavy how a 25kw boiler can be that heavy
-too chunky
-too difficult to lined up boiler with jig ,I end up loosing back nut to adjust pipe to connect to boiler
-could not work out how to connect mechanical timer to the 5 cables (did not even say which goes where have to speak to manufacture )
over all for £580+vat I can not slug it for long
will be fitting flue on wednesday and commission it then

vailant and wb are well easier to install

i agree worcester are easier to install,, read the little booklet for the integral clock it has which wire goes were! jig is awkward i undo all the back nuts then line everything up,

and TOTALLY AGREE WITH THE WEIGHT ISSUE!

but for the money they are pritty good! and you paid what i pay for 30kw there, flue and clock included!

was it not a eco25? because im sure the 25he aint band A >?

will get book out now as i looked but did not go through the booklet fully and the prv is a bit of a strange thing same as old baxi !

was going to say that but wasnt 100 percent lol. it is in there like 1 line explaining it lol! register it on the works website for 2year gurantee, 🙂. nip up the blanking plates on the cold and return were a integral loop would go as sometimes i have been to these with a bit scale after a couple years so i always nip em up just incase now. But seriously man for the money you wont get any call backs!

did you pre pipe to the jig then hang the boiler to it. i did this once and struggled to get the nuts on. if fitting one now i hang on jig then pipe it

ant

So chaps, from what you're all saying here, you do not just stick to the same boilers. For the past 3yrs, the guy i have worked with has only installed Vailiants and veismann. But they are quite expensive.

So now am on my own, I would like to know how you decide which boiler to install? Obviously the cheaper the boiler the lower the quote. So how do you go about choosing your boiler?
