Mains stopcock broken

Not much general plumbing experience.
Mains stopcock handle sheared off. Street isolation only outside for 4/5 houses.
So to save any faffing about was just going replace spindle.
Question is do all stopcocks have same size spindle and gland thread?

No they don't mate. Depends on the age. You might get lucky but it's rare
