Dear all

If any of you could help me out it would be much appreciated. a couple of weeks ago i took a couple of radiators off in a flat as the customer wanted to decorate. last night i went back to fit the rads then a couple of hours after i left i got a phone call to say that none of the radiators in the flat were getting hot. Went round tonight and spend two hours trying to get rid of this airlock. system is an old tank fed boiler with a pump in the airing cupboard but there is no motorised valves. the hot water is fed by an old fortic cylinder. Theres a cistern top of the airing cupboard that feds the fortic cylinder and the central heating system. check to make sure theres water in the heating system theres water in the cistern though that the gate valve on the feed to the heating system was closed but tryed to move it and its stuck solid. How do i get rid of this airlock? i spent at least an hour trying to bleed the pump and switch pump speeds to try and get any air out! the flow from the pump was getting slightly warm then cool again any help please??

Main issue springs to mind with fortic's is that the ball valve is set up correctly and the water level is correct otherwise the little 'heating' header within the fortic runs dry!

not an old cast boiler and il try to see of theres air by opening the union on the cylinder tomorrow thanks for the advice 🙂.
