makita 8406c dimond core drill

Hi picked on up today for ten pounds second hand at a boot sale! Looked mint and was told"it works fine!" Hmmmmmm should have known better! Well it does in a fashion! It turns VERY slow and nationally locks up so not a lot of good! Is it worth repairing and does anyone know a reasonable place to get it repaired in Sheffield area? Thanks

You might have got a bargain, may be just the brushes that are shot.
