Hello, I have replaced the power head on a Honeywell 3 port mid position valve, the radiators were warming up when only DHW was being called for. The new valve is fitted and is wired in as per the old, wire for wire but its still behaving the same way. Is the problem likely to be the main body of the valve which also needs replacing ? When I have encountered this problem in the past, a replacement power head has resolved the problem.

Thanking you in advance for all positive replies.

Has the problem with the rads getting hot only just occured.

Could be crud stuck in the valve

If it's wired correctly and fault is recent, then change the valve body as well as it could have a bit of crud on the face of the seating, or the paddle could be damaged
I'd double check the wiring and the other components first though

Get your multi meter out. Should take a matter of minutes to check everything is switching as it should and if it is then bung it and change the body.
