Minimum flow rate and pressure?

Wondering what the minimum flow rate and pressure that the water authorities are obligated to provide to domestic households,

I got asked this by a customer, my mind went blank and i can't get much out of a google search....is someone trying to hide something 😱

What are the official standards for water pressure?

The guaranteed standards scheme (GSS) sets out that water companies shall maintain a minimum pressure of water in the communication pipe serving the premises supplied with water of seven metres static head. Companies also monitor the number of properties at risk of low pressure against an indicator known as DG2. The DG2 measure is ten metres head of pressure, at the external stop tap, at a flow of 9 litres per minute. This should be sufficient to fill a one-gallon (4.5 litre) container in 30 seconds.

i have always believed the minimum water rate is 1bar, not sure where i got this from or if it is even in a reg somewhere but as a rule of thumb has always stood me fine

Thanks uug197h, that sounds about right....had a customer go 'well i thought we were entitled to 20l/min' and when i responded that i thought it was more like 12 i got a look that made me feel like i was at school again.....information is power 😉
