Mixer shower goes cold!

Can anybody help! My mixer shower won't get hot, it goes luke warm then cold. i have changed the mixer (bar) itself and it was fine for 1 shower, is there a problem with my boiler??? The bar gets hot but then goes cold but the hotness doesn't come through I really don't have a clue! I have a genus He boiler, any help would be great

Is the cold and hot feed equal pressures?

I assume you replaced the mixer because the old one stopped working?

I honestly don't know! How could i check this? I changed it after advice from friends!!

Why did your friends advise you to change it? What system do you have - i.e. combi boiler or conventional set up?

I told them that my hot taps were all running fine in the house so i was advised it was a problem with the shower. It is a combi boiler. I am a real novice at all of this so your help is greatly appreciated!

Probably need to put pressure reducing valve on cold supply into shower to help equalise the pressure within the mixer .have come across this several times before and this has remedied it.Wont cost much to do even if you get a plumber out to do it .if you have make and model of shower can always phone up and ask cust services/tech help
