Hi

Our kitchen mixer tap is leaking around the bottom. Unsure where the leak is coming from but suspect/hope a new cartridge will fix it.

I am not a confident DIY guy, our mains pressure is really high and so plumbing makes me nervous 😂 but I feel like this is a job I should really be able to do for myself.

Am I ok to isolate the tap using the isolation valves, pictures attached? Or will I need to go through the pain of turning off the mains supply to the house?

Any other tips or advice for a total novice very much appreciated!

Based on the images, your kitchen faucet is leaking at the base. The team recommends trying to replace the cartridge inside the faucet to fix the leak. You can isolate the faucet using the valves shown, then replace the cartridge. This may solve the issue without turning off the main water supply. Let me know if you need any other help from the OP Plumbing Hub!
