Hi,

I have changed washers in the past, but trying to do so on our dripping kitchen mixer tap is proving tricky. It's a different head to what i've seen before, not the usual screw - when I unscrew the red/blue caps off, it looks like a metal ball seated in a white grooved washer. Any ideas on how to remove this? Complete novice here so apologies, i'm sure it's a simple answer. I've attached an image:

Thanks,

Matt

I've not worked on this particular tap but it looks similar to some I have worked on. It looks like the white nylon washer simply grabs onto the splines of the cartridge, hence the deep grooves. Try prising the tap head off, I reckon it just pushes on.

Good luck.
