Hi,

i fitted a new monobloc mixer, no leaks from pipes etc, when i turn the tap on it starts to leak from the lever, any advice what this can be? to much pressure into the tap?

id check with the manufacturer if its too much pressure

Other than that its a case of swapping the valve over or tightening it up dependant on the fault with it. You could just take it back to where you got it from though

can you not isolate either the hot or the cold?

who told you it had plastic washers at £20 each? unlikely

Whats the tap make and model as the manufacturer should be able to help with spares

so i would find out manufacturer make and model, contact them and get a pair valves alternatively you could buy a new tap as you said and fit that upto and how much you wanna spend

contact your supplier as you state its new and arrange for a replacement as it is faulty🙂

my kitchen tap drips and i dont know if its the hot or cold. apparently, the washers <?> are plastic and cost about £20 each, so i'm thinking of replacing the whole thing... but you've worried me now with mention of pressure.

shouldnt all taps just... work?
😕

I think the "washers" are really ceramic disc cartridges to account for the prices quoted even this is expensive unless it is a top brand mixer🙂regards turnpin
