hi there, my first post! hope some one can help me, i have been asked to move a boiler - a condensing alpha - and was not sure whether or not i have to register it with the gsr. ive got a feeling i will, but not sure. thanks in advance
Welcome to the forum. Although you can post in any forum, the USA forum is here in case of local regs or laws
never gave that a second thought to be honest, but I am now. the job was at a customers address but under supervision from the college assessor as part of my NVQ. both he and the GSR fitter i work with never said anything about building control. having said that it was still in the same room and still on the same wall, only moved up and accross.did you have to register the boiler after you moved it?
yes that's what I thought, only reading these posts got me thinking. I think the best advice has been given, to check with the local building control to cover yourselfi dont think that counts as moving it, in the eyes of the law. i will be moving this one from an outside toilet to the kitchen - still to be built which will be another room.
