Moving a boiler

Quick one chaps, looked at a job tonight for a builder. They want to move the boiler into the extension as the existing flue terminates into what will be the extension. Can this be done? It's not something I've had to deal with before so need to make sure. Cheers

Boiler is a back solo 18 he

Make sure new flue is available and it's condensing first, would advise no guarantees on it as in my experience they don't like being moved. Re commission it once moved

If you take the job on, as said use new flue etc and make sure you ask about any faults or niggles with the system before you even shut the power off to it
Quite easy to inherit other peoples problems
Whether they will tell you about any issues though is another thing
As it's a HE It's ok to move

Yep as johhnu said run system for good hour before removal to fully test

And it's all depending on if you can get the flue bits best to go with new and not to re use the existing flue

Yeh you can still get the flue, think the flue is just over £100 which I'm sure they will be pleased about 🙂

That's not bad cus will be happy but make it aware if it doesn't work once reinstalled it's not your fault

If I was you Meady I'd do a combustion test, running pressure and leak test on line b4 ye move it just to make sure install is alright b4 ye move it.
Agree with lads on new flue too
