Hey team, so I think people have done some plumbing work in the ground floor maisonette I want to buy and noticed something weird.
The stopcock under the sink doesn't stop the water upstairs. And the stopcock under the bathtub upstairs doesn't stop the water in the small WC.
There is an external stopcock just in the small front garden (in front of the kitchen window) which does stop all the water.
Is this common? I find it weird that in case of an emergency, I need to go outside to stop the water supply but not sure if that is just something I am used to.
