Bloody hell. Dropped tile into the plastic bath and chipped it. Anyone ever used a repair kit and if so, with good results or bad and which one?
Why near death? 'coz it's the bathroom at home and probably, like many of us, when I get home I don't want to do any more plumbing, so its taken me 18 months to get to the just about finished stage (with much wife nagging). If I have to rip out, wife will launch carving knife in my general direction in anticipation of another 18 months. And to cap it all, I've just started stripping out the upstairs bathroom. In customer's places, I always use an old quilt, but didn't bother for home. (praying on knees now for good news from you guys out there). (in fact having a drink to help the praying bit)!!

get it all fitted then claim on your building insurance blame the wife for dropping a nail varnish bottle in it

Used a repair kit on a cast resin tray and it worked fine, on an acrylic bath (especially my own) I think I would just replace.

There are specialists in my area who will repair damaged baths, shower trays. Perhaps have a call around and get it done by a pro.

I currently have a crack in our bath being repaired by sticks like s***. Dont look great but does the job. My own bathroom as usual dont wanna rip it out !

carefully balance a tile on the edge of the bath so it falls when door is opened then wait for missus to use bathroom, "look what you have done!" 🙂

carving knife avoided!
