Need a bit of guidence

Hi All.

I need a little bit of guidence i know you can get replacement valves for taps but my problem is i have bath taps with the shower attachment on them.With the valve set for taps its fine but for the shower it just dribbles out.Is it possible to change the valve that diverts the water from taps to shower.

Yes!

Easiest thing is to take the part to a Plumbers merchants and ask for spares. I would advise a big merchant company such as Plumb Centre or similar as they usually carry the biggest range of spares.

If you happen to know the make and model that makes things easier. But it can mean they will say they haven't any for that make. But if you take the part in, they might be able to get you a match even though the washers may not be the same make as the taps.

Don't be scared of looking a DIYer by taking the part in. Many professionals will probably tell you they have done it themselves.
