Dan'll Try It

Hi, I moved into a house with a Trianco Maxi Aztec wet electric combi boiler. The system is too expensive for us to run, so we are removing in 3/4 weeks.

Aside from being too expensive, it is not running correctly... We have to call for hot water about 25 minutes prior to use (this is not a fault). Sometimes the hot water works, sometimes it doesn't. Trianco are convinced it's a communication error - the nest appears to be working properly. Although, sometimes we can have a hot shower, if the heating has been on rather than calling for it in the proper way. Other times we have been unable to get hot water unless the heating has been on.

Internally, the connectors for the thermostat are L, N, E, Call for water and Call for heating. The boiler has an internal tank for water.

Does anyone have any clue in regards to which wires should go where on the nest; I've happily fitted a nest to a gas combi boiler before, but this has me stumped.

Any guidance would make this cold winter much more fun. Thanks Dan

It’s a combi so hot water doesn’t need timing as there’s a flow switch

Just the heating side to be controlled sounds like you’ve removed a wire that should of been left in
