Hello

I am having a new boiler fitted soon, and would like to enquire about if my new boiler will need a vent pipe in the wall? I have lpg at the house and the boiler is being moved to the airing cupboard? Will it need a vent to stop gasses building up on the floor or will the new twin wall flue (balanced?) do this job?

Thanks in advance

David

Thanks for your reply bod. I have not asked him, I didnt like to pesture him about such a small query. Do gas boilers need a vent in case of gas leaks or is this a myth?

okay thanks, I am having a worcester 30 cdi. the plumber has highly recommended it

That's a room sealed boiler so doesn't need a vent but will obviously need the flue to exit the premises

Thanks, i only thought it might need one because my lpg campervan has to have low level floor vents inc case of the leak of lpg. I was not sure if my new lpg boiler would need one.

It's a permennat dwelling so therefore is the same as a natural gas appliance BS 5440-2 I think it is
