HI...I've got an ariston microgenus boiler I've just fitted 3 new rads and balanced the system. The boiler fires up to 88-90 for a few seconds then shuts off and goes back down to say 35 and stays that way for a few minutes then repeats and repeats. The radiators go hot then cool down then go hot etc etc so it's not constant heat. Can you suggest anything or tell me what you think is wrong? I do have a rad that's full of sludge which I have to clean out could that be the problem???

Sounds like it could be a blockage to me I think you might need an engineer out

As above could be a blockage.
Also if the boiler is cycling as described there could be an issue within such as the pump.
check display for possible fault codes

What process did you do replacing the radiators literally just drain down the old ones and put new ones on?

I get the a77 fault code sometimes. I was thinking the pump I'll check that also.

I drained the rads individually then replaced and topped up the system I didn't drain right down.

I think we are going towards the realms of internals of boilers now so I think we can't offer much more advice other than get an engineer out
