I have just moved into a new property and while the heating is working fine upstairs the rads downstairs are ice cold, even the pipes going into the rads are cold, i have already bleed the rads any help or advise would be appreciated!!!

Its a gas fired system with a combi boiler, the pump seems to be working fine as all the upstairs rads turn very hot when the system is on

how many rads are not working ?
are the rads fitted with trv's ?
are the rad valves all fully open ?
has it been like it since you moved in ?

4 rads not working
all valves on cold rads are open
not sure what TRV's are??
the house seemed to be hot both upstairs and down when we first moved in but we haven't made any changes or turned anything off since we've been in

thats a trv.

shut the upstairs rads that will force the full flow downstairs.
you may want to count how many turn you do on each valve so you can put them back after.
