No Hot Water from shower

Hi

I have a ferroli optimax he 31c. I have hot water from the main tap in the kitchen and central heating is fine.

However i the water from the shower in the bathroom is very luke warm yet the water from the tap in the bathroom is fine.

Does anyone have any idea what the problem may be.

so the boiler is working ok, the fault then is with the shower.
working on the assumption that the shower is a mixer for hot and cold,
or is it an electric shower that is not in any way connected to the boiler???

is there a filter that is limiting flow because of being blocked??
is it a thermostatic cartridge that has developed a fault and not opening for the hot water??

The shower mixing valve (if it is a mixer shower) might be faulty.

Thank you everyone for your advice. It is a mixing tap shower. But I have no idea where the shower mixing valve is or how to replace it. Is it a big job or simple to do? If so how do i do it?

By mixer tap shower do you mean that you have a mixer tap on the bath with a diverter lever or knob to divert the water to a shower head?

If so, and hot water comes out of the tap but not the shower head, it is probably the diverter not working properly.

A picture would help.

Could be a boiler fault. Does the shower get hot if you run the hot tap on the basin at the same time?
