Hey sparky222 :welcome: to the forum 🙂 .......

Formalities over!!!! It sounds like you haven't much knowledge in what you describe so I'd suggest you ring your dad see if they have a contract with anyone or know someone 🙂 Failing that take it on your own back to get someone to look at the problem coz if you're getting heating but no hot water then 9/10 you need a pro to sort it out for you IMHO 🙂

ok thanks...but what would you look at initially??

Yellow Pages?

I'm sorry but you're very unlikely to get any help with a gas boiler from the forum as it's illegal for anyone to work on a gas boiler without the relevant qualifications.

If you had a tap not working or wc problem (or stuck with an oil boiler) you'd have plenty of help, but gas is different.
