We have an Ideal Standard boiler which is 6 years old. No problem with the central heating but we have no hot water. The controls indicate that the water programmer is working.

We had a power cut for about 3 hours at the weekend and since then we've had no hot water. heating was drained down and then refilled (it was a bad weekend!). We have also bled the central heating system.

We have a 22mm 2 Port Zone Valve fitted to the water and heating systems.

Can anybody suggest what's wrong.

Many thanks.

Jean

check the motorized valve on the domestic hot water to see is it opening and check stat if there is one on your hot water cylinder and circulating pump is working only the 3 things that is always 1st to check hope it helps

Pretty much guaranteed that the hw zone valve is goosed, however proper fault finding will confirm this(no point wasting money on a valve when it could be the cyl stat etc), as above Poster has stated it could be a couple of other things but generally it will be the zone valve.

If you don't know how to fault find on it don't attemp it, get sum1 in who knows what they're doing bud
