Hi all ,got a noisy 5 year old Isar 30 he combi to look at this weekend ,every couple if minutes it sounds like someone is drilling then it goes quite for a minute then starts up again...anyone know what this is likely to be or known problems with these.....only does this after it's warmed up apparently.
I know it's a bit of a vague description but any heads up is appreciated

If you pass on the Axe job.....check earth pins & insulation panels then clean sump and condi fully.

I actually came across a newish Isar the other week that looked like it had some kind of serious upgrade on it!!! Next to no plastic, bog standard diverter etc.... Couldn't believe I was looking at the same appliance TBH ... PCB the same but otherwise.............amazed at what I was looking at!!!...........🙂

Regards noise .. could be a multitude of sins... eliminate, as mentioned, the condensate and the rubber flue seal, boiler to flue...!

when did they go out of production, had one the other day and as soon as i saw it started dropping hints that she should think about changing it. however customer was adamant boiler had been installed in sept 2011

If the nut on the fan where the gas enters it is loose or the rubber seal is damaged this could be drawing in air.
seen that a few times
