Hello,

I've changed the ball valve for the water tank in the loft because the old one was leaky and caused water to drip out of the over flow pipe and into the garden.

The new one stopped the leak, but since then the water pipe that leads up to the water tank has definitely been noisier than it used to be when refilling.

Anyone have any ideas what might have gone wrong? The change seemed easy enough, but obviously not.

Cheers,
Tomi

thanks for that islandview.

I cant see the logic of changing ball size though, as i replaced a like for like part, but will give that a try if refitting it doesnt work.

Ive noticed now that the pipe that feeds the water to the tank is not aligned very well to the ball valve. When i straighten this by hand the noise disappears and water continues to flow.
Maybe it was a matter of me not fitting it correctly. I give it a go and see what happens.
