Not a question more a rant!!!

I have been re-fitting my ex-wifes kitchen and getting paid in fish and chips!!! Some may say not to bad but I look at it for my kids who are in desperate need of a decent kitchen.... Rant is that there are some seriously poor plumbers out there and it drives me mad!!!

The boiler in her house had flue incorrectly fitted and was sealed with DUCK TAPE !!! It is constantly leaking which I have had to sort out. Now my skills are ok and I learn quickly having done a six week adult education plumbing course.. I have learn't through minimal experience and studying what I am and am not capable of. I am a perfectionist.... and if I do say so have re-fitted 3/4 of her kitchen in 2 days so not to bad...

Just hope that when I retire from my normal job in 10 yrs I have every intention of becoming a plumber if this crazy government hasn't made it impossible to do and I will still be a perfectionist and get paid lots of money for the ore incompetent plumbers out there...

It's a shame that there are a small percentage in every job that are willing to do a poor job which creates problems for the majority of decent plumbers !!!!

Rant over - just got to put her doors on and secure everything up... first kitchen completed... Now for the mates rates ones to follow hopefully !!!

simple report who fitted boiler and they wont be doing it again
unless its an old boiler and someone else has plopped ducktape on it
either way it needs to be checked by a rgi as a any flue can be a killer if poorly installed /maintained

Report done and sent to corgi people... And flue was replaced by gas safe registered plumber so know its all safe and secure now... shame it has to ome to that though - previous occupant 91 yr old woman!!! Rogue traders... nightmare.
