Following on from some ones combo nightmare I've been looking (again for a new van and have seen the Nissan NV200 for pretty cheap (8495 +vat). This seems pretty good spec and not to big as well.
so what do people know about them? Anyone got one?

Cheers,
Iain

Yes I've got one, love it swapped in a combo.

High spec bought it new all done out inside,

Not got one as its too small for me, but seen a couple they remind me of the Suzuki carry, if it's that size van your after look at the Hyundai van can't remember the model but a chippy had one the other day and was raving about it

Its quite a bit bigger than the suzuki carries the biggest payload in its class, the hyundai is way more expensive and huge, I get all my big stuff delivered to the site.

Oh good to hear. How does the space compare to the combo?

Also how are the servicing costs and fuel consumption?

Still waiting for its first service, much bigger than the combo, fuel better than the combo but can't tell you what it does MPG don't take any notice! depends on driving style blah blah blah,

I thought the 2 side loading doors would waste space but TBH its a good feature, used quite a lot, blue tooth is a really good on my iphone, rear camera is about as useful as a fart in a space suit,

More user friendly than the combo as well much cheaper to insure.

apparently does 48.9mpg urban mate i get 23mpg out of my transit so wouldnt complain at that

Thanks for the heads up. Think I might go have a looksie assuming the insurance isnt horrendous. Yes not a fan of french motors but I suppose that's what warrenties are for.
23mpg from the tranny? Something can't be right there? Fuel leak? ; )

Its a 51 2.0 td mate not the most refined. And french diesels are some of the best on market its the electrics that are bad.

So does the 1.5 dci suffer with poor electrics too? Shame I'm tempted by this van.

the engine is a good one mate same as in the clio, kango, etc mate google it. Havent heard any major issues though

I supose it's a bit unfair to brand all French vehicles as crap. But having been on this forum a while, most threads about vans breaking down seem to consist of Renault traffics and there Nissan or vauxhall clones

I bought a new nv200 in October 2012, got the optional ikey to save getting key in and out of pocket, cut a long story short getting a brand new van off Nissan this month as they are unable to fix a fault with sliding door not locking everytime. Other than that get good mileage, and van is a good size

Had one in my old job.

Pros:
High 40s MPG
Easy to park
Comfy
Well specced
Nippy

Cons:
Bumpy around bends
Mirrors seem to have huge blind spots
Tall and narrow, doesn't like cross winds.
Headlights point too high, even when unladen with them adjusted all the way down.

They are ideal for short distance work, but I went from a Transit to one of these, driving all over South Wales, it became a bit tiresome! Bloody ugly thing too!

You did that yourself?
yes he did..lol..
