if you have an oil boiler on the first floor and an oil tank at ground level how do you get the oil up to the burner
 
barry, are you oftec qualified ( unregistered or otherwise )

be aware if not! and note if you have the tiniest oil spillage, enviromental waste will be all over you, qualified or not

as for your question, oil boosters freely available and uncomplicated to install.

Complementing Shaun's answer, you're not allowed to use standard compression fittings. I can't be bothered to look it up (sorry!) but I think installations should use Type A compression fittings and no soldering. Fines can easily reach five figures if you have a leak.

On the other hand, if you're arranging someone to install this for you and are just wanting some extra info no harm in asking.
