I trying to get a Trianco WM 50/70 going.

Its about 9 years old and only had 1000l of oil through it from new.

The oil tank has been re sited and a new supply pipe installed.

Ive filled the supply pipe with oil but cant get the boiler to fire.

Ive made sure the pipe is sound by disconnecting it at both ends an blowing it through with a foot pump.

When the boiler trys to fire there is no oil in the tiger loop even after say 10 lock outs.

Im thinking oil pump in the boiler any one any ideas?

Thanks

Doug.

Can be a tricky one to sort. Is the oil pump bled? If so, if you remove the nozzle is there oil coming out? Perhaps a vacuum test on the pump will get things going?

Ifits not going after 10 trys and tiger loop fitted sounds like it's your oil pump

I can see oil gently pulsing in the clear delivery hose to the boiler but nothing in the loop.

The pump hasnt been bled. is this the long brass fitting coming from the pump housing?

Thanks.

Yes mate unscrew it a bit and turn on runs out don't take it right out

That's the one. Best to disconnect the electricity first to minimise the risk of fire. You'll need a 4mm allen key and some tissue. But oil might be here and not going through the pump (hence me suggesting you look at the nozzle and vacuum test).

Thanks guys, just got it going as you correctly diagnosed the pump needed bleeding>

Job's a good'un then!! Excellent and, at the risk of being patronising, well done. Thanks also for the appreciation.
