Hi

The plastic nut that holds the hose of our outside tap onto the tap itself has cracked. It's the type where the hose comes out of the wall before joining the top of the tap (rather the pipe connecting to the back).

The hose clip was rusted and would not undo, so I had to cut the hose just above the clip to remove it from the hose. This should leave me enough excess hose to attach to the tap.

However, I have searched the net to find the replacement plastic 'nut' but can't find one anywhere (I'm not really sure what it is called).

Can anyone help by advising what it's called and how to reattach the hose to the tap?

Many thanks in advance

Hi. The nut/union arrangement looks the same as a washing machine hose. It may be possiable to fit such to tap, cut other end off and using hose connectors, join W/machine hose to garden hose. (there should be a washer withing the nut/union. Over tightening the nut has pulled the back out.) Good Luck

Just standard tap connector, get push fit to hose connection also to do away with jubilee set up
