Hi Friends

1st time my internets worked in a week, Plusnet crap!

anyway, my mate changed his outside tap, it was leaking all over the place so I wrapped PTFE around it and all was good when I left. There was also a large wet patch on the outside wall like someone had thrown a bucket of water at the wall.

Anyway, i checked on the inside of the pipe and could not see or feel any leaks so I thought it was OK.

He just called me to say the wall is still wet, the bricks are turning white (?) and some green is growing (not hash!) on the wall.

Any ideas? i will need to look again at that tap but maybe replace the whole unit? git it a good wedge of ptfe?

If there is no visible leak from the inside (to touch) where could the wall be getting wet from? I am at a loss. When I go I'll take some pics also and post them here but Im a bit stumped.

the tap is outside the kitchen, the blue mains pipe come under the house and into the unit, the main stop tap is dry, the blue pipe is dry, the connection to the outside tap is dry, the leaky outisde tap is now dry but the wall is still wet and he says getting worse.

mmm....

Thanks all.

BTW not getting much plumb work buy gardening is coming in!
