Was called to fix one today. Changed sd valve underneath filled up heater..spout dripping constantly when valve shut{i realise these heaters vent through spout and should drip a little} but this was more than a drip. Does this mean heater knackered inside?

I assume there is no manual with it so you will need the make and model, and either contact the manufacturer or down load the IM, you may find that it might need an expansion vessel on it

thanks for replies it is heatrae sadia express VENTED oversink water heater.
The spout drips after you shut down valve on heater and drips for a couple of mins even when power OFF. in my experience with these heaters and similiar is that they should only drip when heating up and expand through spout. ANYBODY else out there got any experience on these. 😕😕

Had same thing on a brand new Heatrae a while back.Filled it up,and it kept emptying itself.Turned out to be a faulty spout letting air in,breaking vacuum.
