Please enlighten us oh great one, what's happening with Vaillant warranties and prices?

Warranties? Dunno. My guess is the same as current from now to Xmas, and then an attempt to row back or make a charge from Jan 1. But that is pure guesswork.

Ecotec Pro 24 and Ecotec Pro 28? Prices likely to rise when the non-ERP stock runs out. Expect our price to go up sharply at the beginning of August, as we get to the end of the cheap stock. Other merchants may vary, depending on the stock position.

Ecotec Plus 824 and 831. If you insist on ERP product, then expect prices to rise by a modest £25 - £40. If you are happy with the same old non ERP product you have fitted for the last half-decade, then you should enjoy some serious bargains, until the pre-ERP stock runs out. We have about 1000 units or so, but no idea how long they will last. See Augusts RGE mag for deals.

All other models - not enough volume to predict - there may be some temporary bargains from individual outlets (but not from us) - for example we turned down a couple of hundred 24kw system boilers, but someone will have snapped them up. Once they are gone, they're gone. Otherwise, price from a post-ERP list, or add £40 to a pre-ERP list when quoting.

What's erp and how is a system boiler different from a combi? What colour would u be if u were a colour? How-many fish would you count if u could count fish to go to sleep.

OMG why are rays posts always so informative and concise.

For once just to make the tedium of boxing up things to move to un box them seem less draconian can ray just explain his "discount" structure in a Del Boy Anglo French - trigger type explanation?

Ok, some more definitive answers.

If you like Vaillant Pro boilers, buy some stock in the next few days.

At present, depending on the merchant you use, the 24kw model will be about £599 inc flue and the 28kw version will be about £630.

From the beginning of August, expect that price to increase by about £80 for the 24kw, and by £150 for the 28kw.

On the other hand, if you like to fit Plus 824 or Plus 831, then hold fire, and don't order until the beginning of August. These (non ERP) prices are likely to fall.

There will also be deals on selected Ideal boilers and Main boilers, but not Worcester. At the moment neither Glowworm nor Baxi have the faintest clue whats going on.

My local Vaillant rep called me a few days ago to inform me of changes. Said the warranties are staying for a while but prices def going back up August 1st.

Yesterday I bought 5 x Pro 28s from my local City and took them home. They liked me 🙂

On the other hand, if you like to fit Plus 824 or Plus 831, then hold fire, and don't order until the beginning of August. These (non ERP) prices are likely to fall.

That's a very nice bit of info . Was going to order an 831 tomorrow.

Hey Ray on the vaillant subject how much would you do for a VRT350f wireless stat and receiver?

The other halfs landlord wants one for one of his properties

I don't know if the deals on 831s and 824s will be available everywhere. Merchants would have to have had both the cash and the shelf-space to take advantage of the deal - I am sure that we werent the only ones that it was offered to, but that doesn't mean it will be everywhere.
