who,s the oldest gas man here?
i,ve been at it since `75 still fairly young,
just done me acs agaaain.
couple of guys week before early seventies!
c,mon own up.
 
He is the oldest "GAS MAN" 116yrs born 1894

my uncle, 76, a landlord with 14 properties and like the old driveing test of his time....- never took his test.....
or any gas exams for that matter but still does both today.

started in 77 , but i,m only 51 you 'old git'😛😉😛😉

I still think i,m about 30 til someone asks me how old i am , then it sinks in , then i get depressed , then i think not long now then i think..........., 😀
 
56 started at 17 back when plumbing was a trade full of skills now its so easy they could train monkeys to do it my first job was to watch a 4 inch lead bend being wiped in plumber sent me back to the yard to get his bent bolt i was convinced it was a wind up then i found out the miserable old sod had no sense of humour

first job on tools with plumbers fitting 'crittal' metal windows thought that was a wind up! spent years wiping joints, all gone now ,as you say monkey see monkey do now.
 
yes ive done a few crittal windows my apprentiship was with a small west end builder if it wasnt paint wood or electrics the plumber got the job how many tons of pigeon crap i shoveled ill never know
 
worked on new vats at courage brewery bath st bristol 1976 hottest summer ever!
9" cast iron, all poured lead, still got me old caulking irons.
i did c+g brunel tech ashley down, don't think they do the old bluey any more.
sorry guys,old geezer moan over.
