why do pcbs fail on combi boilers ,is it mainly the solder or could the boiler it self cause the pcb to fail thanks.

it could be anything on the board resistors, the circuit runs broken etc etc wouldnt look too deeply into as it would be cheaper to buy a new one than try and find the fault and find out that you cant just fix it. something like a pcb would of been massive 30 yrs ago - the newer they are the smaller the parts more information they can handle and the more problems created.

solder or bad pcbs dont give it much thought mate you will get a headache,boards brake fact of life

cheap electronics made in china to a price such as resistors capacitors etc, all these can be made by good manu's like sony, hitachi etc and the principles just the same as t.v sets, a sony outlives a bush.

Yes

It's due to far east sourcing

They make the PCB and ship it all for around £1 per hour

But as newbiwe said dont complain

It makes me laugh when us plumbers moan about dodgy products, if everything we ever fitted never failed we would have so little work
