Hi all. Newbie here. Second post.

Can I plaster directly over plastic central heating pipes?

Can I put a very small part of a Mdpe pipe in cement?

I think most people here would recommend that and pipework is run in trunking or a purpose built channel these days which will enable easy refit in the event of future issues

Answer has to really be - no. Plenty of people do it, I know.
Heating pipes need some movement, so you need pipe insulation, or sleeving, or even some thin polythene wrapped around the pipe and taped would be better than nothing. Pipes could wear against walls or floors also.
Am sure nothing will actually happen the plastic if sand and cement is against it though, but it just isn't right to do that.

Thanks for your advice. I know that overtime copper pipes will get corroded by the plaster/cement but I thought I would double check to see if plastic was effected in the same manner.

No corrosion will take place with plastic in concrete and as long as there's no fittings it shouldn't be a problem to fill over

As said by others no corrosion will take place but best practises is to insulate and tape to allow for movement but purposes build trucking/channel is best
