Can anyone help as the heating in our house has always been troublesome, but now it is worse than ever. Over the years we have had 3 new boilers, 3 new pumps, 4 new radiators and 2 power-flushes. This last week we have had the Y-plan connections changed to 2 S-plan connections with lights on so that we can see when both are on. I put in 2 bottles of X400 on Monday and then attached a hosepipe from the boiler to drain the system on Wednesday. I left it on for about an hour from the advice of my heating engineer.

Now, no radiators come on, and both flow and return pipes are cold on every radiator in the house. We have the heating and hot-water set on constant and they are on, (light on on the timer switch). I have since turned off every radiator in the house apart from one, (that used to come on) and that remains cold, and both flow and return pipes are cold. It is a microbore system so the pipes are tiny and I am wondering if I have a blockage that is stopping the hot water getting to any of the radiators?

Is there anything I can do to test where the problem is please?

Why isn't the engineer who did the work last week dealing with this for you?

How did you refill the system after draining down? E.g. are you sure that the system isn't air-locked?

Which make and model of boiler do you have? Is it firing? What are the lights/display on it saying?

Is it gravity or sealed system?
Is the pump running, is the boiler firing up?
Does the hot water work?
Are both the 2 zone valves opening, do they have a manual lever to lock them open to test?
Did you have the 2 zone valves set to open when you refilled the system?

Are you getting air and or water when you open the bleed valve on each of the radiators?
