Hi,

I'm hoping someone can help me out here before I go mad! I have a property which I am looking to rent out and need to replace the boiler amongst other things. At present it is situated under the window in the kitchen and pretty close to the floor. Obviously an issue with the Gas Safe sign off. If you PM me I can send a link to some pics.

After phoning 6 companies, 4 got back to arrange a visit, only 2 turned up to do a quote, then only 1 got back to me! The company that got back was British Gas and they quoted me £4740 and informed me that they could knock off £500 (yeah no s**t) if I decided to go ahead within the week.

They said I could leave the boiler where it was by making a void in the floor so the minimum 150mm ground clearance was sorted and replace it with a direct rear flue boiler with a flue management kit to overcome the 300mm clearance below the window.

Please only get in touch if you are really interested as it's a 320 mile round trip for me.

Thanks in advance,
Andy
