My new washing machine is being delivered tomorrow and it has an Anti flood box at the end of the washing machines hose pipe.
The space between the copper pipe and waste pipe is enough for a standard hose without the anti flood.
What options do I have and could you help please rectify the pipe work, if required ?

are you asking for advice or for someone to do the job?

if its for someone to call, post it here.

or shorten the cold supply pipe.

Extend the hose to a standard hose using a male to male adapter

I have attempted to use an extension with a 'Bosch?' Connection on advise from my local Plumbing shop.
Although this worked with using some waterproof tape, I am not convinced the tape would work long term (prior to the tape, it leaked).

Is there any extension with the correct end to connect onto the hose instead of using this 'bosch' connector?

If not, I will have no choice but to get a plumber to redo the pipework...

if the flexi is 15mm into a 1/2", 3/4" "bush" then the washing machine hose, it will work.
But put more tape on the threads.

back to the first post, this is not the new connection??
the more joints the more chances for leaks, I would still be adjusting the valve on the cold pipe to take the new hose direct.

The right way to do it is to extend the pipe work. When you get the machine, check the manufacturer's instructions, as I seem to remember some of those ant-flood connectors need to be connected so that the open end points upwards. Shouldn't cost too much, and I'd strongly advise you to get someone in to do it in rigid pipe, properly clipped, with a minimum of flexible pipe and as few non-soldered connectors as possible.
