hi i have been asked to quote to plumb in the glass washers and coffee machines in a coffe shop development. i very rarely do commercial work. are there any special regs regarding the plumbing. pipework will not be chased into wall so i'm wondering about any regs about trunking/protection.

thanks. rob. nene plumbing 🙂

most of the building regs that you know, are not valid for commercial premises.
best bet is to speak with your local building planning inspector as each location has different rules.

did the same a couple of years back on request of shopfitter, i just subby'd to them and there building reg and got passed.
problem with these places is they add and add to the supply so the cold supply gets overloaded. and they are prone to changes after you finish fixing in counters and tiling, see photo (no choice).

As far as I am aware all building regs and BS's are the same country over? Thats one reason the local bylaws were swapped to National water regs?
Just the same but bigger, if you have a mian contractor just price for the work as per drawing, all extras or mistakes are theirs
