Hi all I am new to the site and was wondering if you guys could give me some info regarding student loans to fund plumbing courses, I was wondering if student loans are just for college and university courses or can you apply for student loans for plumbing training centres, just some info on me I am 31 years young, Live in Leicester and im currently unemployed on JSA.

inquire at your local college, some courses are paid for depending on benefits you may recieve

Cheers Simon, I did call Leicester college yesterday but they said school leavers get priority and the best thing I can do is get employed in the trade and then do an apprentice, easier said than done

Cheers teddie, what course is that £800 for that sounds cheap but I don't know if that's because I've been looking at the price of electrical courses... Also when you say adult college does a training centre fall under that category

no thats your normal college, private fast track around £3k upwards and i doubt it will be funded.

I don't really want fast track, so £800 would be at my local college, what course is that for ? I've looked on leicester college site and can only find part time apprentice plumbing courses non full time

College plumbing NVQ training is not full time. It is run on a day or block release basis as it is to fit in with employed apprentices or trainees. Some basic courses may be available full time. Best people to ask are the colleges themselves.

Oh I get ya, no wonder I couldn't find full time courses at my local college, so again I need to find a job first
