Hi everyone,

I'd like to install an inset bath so that its partly sunk, with the floor of the bath at (or maybe just below) floor height.

Obviously, sinking it in this way makes getting to the plumbing difficult though, particularly the waste. Are there any tips for plumbing in a sunken bath?

I'm thinking of perhaps long flexible tap connectors and a shower-style waste or something to avoid having to get under it once its in, but that could be naive..

Cheers
Kev

If you don't allow access to the waste it will come back and bite you. You're going to have to figure out some form of access panel in case of future problems (generally a week after you have tilked everything in).

Thanks Mike,

very good point! Maybe a small ceiling hatch of some sort in the room below would be the thing, if i can find some way to make it look okay. Would make installation much easier too..

Cheers,
Kev
